Mary Winchester swaying her hips to ‘Say You Love Me’ while she makes dinner, one hand on her swollen belly as she hums the lyrics.
Mary whispering ‘Rhiannon’ to a sleepy baby Dean, his eyelids drooping to, “She rules her life like a fine skylark…”
Mary baking a pecan pie, per her son’s request, while ‘Second Hand News’ blares out of her old record player’s speakers. Dean is singing along, babbling incorrect lyrics as though he knows them perfectly, and Mary sings the same words as him with a big smile on her face.
Mary whispering the lyrics to ‘Songbird’ at night while she washes dishes. Dean padding down in his jammies, rubbing his sleepy eyes as he goes to his mom and hugs her leg, asking, “When’s daddy coming home?”
Mary sitting at the kitchen table, looking out the window while she thinks Dean is watching cartoons. But she hears the scratch of a needle on vinyl and looks up to see dean on his tiptoes, putting on Rumors. Mary smiles in surprise, gets to her feet, puts on ‘Go Your Own Way,’ and she and Dean dance for the rest of the afternoon.
